2011 Mile Challenge!
The local organising committee have embarked on a fund-raising venture for the 2011 Mod, called the “The 2011 Mile Challenge”
The intention is that people will volunteer to raise sponsorship by enjoying their own sport, be it walking, running, swimming, rowing etc. We will cover distances between major geographical locations in the Outer Hebrides (examples given below).
Individuals can, in their own time, and at their own leisure cover the chosen distances by whichever means they choose, indoors or outdoors. The aim is that the committee and volunteers will cover a total overall distance of (at least) 2011 sponsored miles.
It also means that the 2011 Committee are encouraging healthy living and use of local sporting facilities.
If you wish to join the Committee on the 2011 Mile Challenge please register with Marina MacLeod on 01851 70 3487 and get as many sponsors as possible in aid of Mòd 2011!
