1. Two small shuttle buses will operate between the competition venues in Stornoway during the week of the Mod. The drivers will have mobile phones and these numbers will be circulated in advance to interested parties i.e. choirs, festival office, hotels, ferry terminal, mod programme, isles fm, etc.
The buses will operate between 8.15 and 6pm generally Monday to Friday, but may be tailored to suit specific events.
2. All choirs will be offered one free uplift from their arrival point on Lewis and Harris and one free return passage at the end.
This offer requires choirs to advise Tony Robson in advance, on 01851 706271 or 07786 686523,of their time and date of arrival and departure and their anticipated numbers.
3. Choirs are also offered free passage to and from their place of residence on Lewis and Harris to Stornoway at times to suit their requirements; this service is offered Monday to Saturday 7am to 3 am next morning. Again this service is conditional on the choirs advising their driver in advance of their requirements. It is emphasised that one run into Stornoway and one run back is the maximum per day that are offered free, if however, choirs wish to utilise their coach for additional runs, this is a matter for the choir to negotiate and pay for directly with the coach operator.
